Hey curl friends! It's already 9 days into 2019, and we have soooo much to talk about. I got new (and old) experiences to share as well as new hair gear! I copped a curl wand, and I was too excited opening it in the video above haha. More on the curl wand later, but first...here's some fresh perspective from 2018:
In January 2018, I posted 6 hair resolutions for 2018. I tried to really consider these all year. Resolution #4 said to Be bold, try something new. I must say, this resolution was fun to keep. Here's a bold look that I tried in 2018:
I had rainbow curls thanks to Crown Paint Colors. This temporary hair dye allowed me to live in bold color, and I really played with the look. I also tried to develop and keep good habits (like resolution #6 from 2018). So I made it a habit to deep condition often:
Regular deep conditioning has really had positive results on my hair. It has inspired much growth, allowed me to retain length and better handling when I detangle, and keeps the hair in a healthy state when heat is added. So, about this curl wand...
This was my first time using a curl wand. It reminded me of a curling iron, but a level up. I definitely needed a second to get the hang of wanding. But after washing, deep conditioning and a blow dry, it was time to practice. The pink ceramic barrel gets very hot, so do be careful on the finger tips. I am happy with the loose-wave curls that it produced, and I look forward to practicing in the future.
